In an ideal world I sit and work, nobody touches me, and then I die. Happy. The end.
When the question is what to work on, there are plenty of answers, but "defining a world" would top the list. Nothing defines a world as well as concept art. Which is why I work as a concept artist — it's the closest thing to what I actually want to do.
The main trouble is that I play the long game badly. I can't draw one picture for a week; it gets boring. A month-long project sends me into the cosy silt of depression. Grinding on something for six months? Ufff…
So if I want to give a full definition of some world, the year-long marathon gets broken into 365 sprints.
That's the concept of 360°+5: complete coverage of a subject in a year.
